Hong Kong – Your Premiere Inter-modal Logistics Hub

Globalisation has created new demands in merchandise procurement, transport and distribution. Increasingly, speed, efficiency, reliability and transparency in logistics flow have become the driver of profit margins for businesses all over the world. This plays to the established strengths of Hong Kong’s logistics services and experience.

Hong Kong has the on-the-ground experience in dealing with and succeeding in the face of today’s most pressing international logistics issues.

Within five hours’ flying time to half of the world’s population, Hong Kong is at the heart of Asia. Taking advantage of its prime location and world-class transport infrastructure, Hong Kong’s key value proposition to logistics clients is service quality – reliable just-in-time delivery with a wide range of choices in transportation mode and service schedule, and a transparent and friendly regulatory environment.

Ahead Of the Game
To boost its logistics capabilities further, Hong Kong has an ambitious program to build more transport connections with Mainland China, launch an e-infrastructure to enhance information connectivity, and enhance support for R&D in IT-enabled logistics solutions. These new initiatives, together with a landmark free-trade pact with China, seal Hong Kong’s economic partnership with China and entrench its role as the premier gateway for international investors in China.

You Are Invited
The Hong Kong Logistics Development Council, the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office and Hong Kong Association of Atlanta invite you to join our panel of policy makers and business leaders from Hong Kong’s logistics industry to find out how you can take advantage of these new developments for your business.

The seminar session is followed by a luncheon featuring keynote speaker, Ms Sandra Lee, Permanent Secretary for Economic Development & Labor of The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Ms Lee will speak on new initiatives to boost Hong Kong’s logistics capabilities and better serve the US and China markets in the post-WTO century.
