About the AACA

Mission Statement

On October 06, 1969, representatives of several of Atlanta’s air cargo firms met to form the Atlanta Air Cargo Association. This association, which included representatives from Certified Air Carriers, Air Freight Forwarders, IATA Agents, Air/Truck Motor Carriers, ACI Pickup & Delivery Contractors, Customs Brokers, Warehouse Operators, and Allied Services, met to organize a forum whose mission statement was:
  • To promote the interests of members who work in the field of air cargo transportation through the establishment of a network of contacts.
  • To promote the exchange of common ideas and discussion among members of the Association; to provide a forum and clearinghouse for members to exchange views, ideas and information to keep them informed of trends and developments in the field of air cargo transportation.
  • To establish educational programs and activities in order to encourage the professional development of members in air cargo transportation and allied fields of commerce.
  • To promote professional growth, education, leadership, common cause and social activities among members employed in the field of air cargo transportation and allied fields.

The Atlanta Air Cargo Association has a tradition of over thirty-five years of service to the air cargo industry. We invite you to join us in our mission (the link opens an Adobe Acrobat membership form to print and FAX to us.)

Habitat for Humanity

The AACA celebrated their 30th year anniversary by building a house with Habitat for Humanity. $40,000 was totally funded and built by AACA members and helpers. The project started in July 1999, and continued every Saturday through the hot summer months until completion in October. The house was built in coordination with the Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity.
