KH International, Inc., Hiring for Import Operations Coordinator - KHI is an international company distributing food products throughout the world.  We are looking for a special individual with a proven sense of urgency and commitment to detail to join the Import Operations Team of our Logistics Department.   This position is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of mostly imported refrigerated containers from origin through our U.S. ports and then to their final delivery location. Air/Ocean Import Operations Manager Overall job purpose: Manages and drives performance of a team of Import Agents; Processes, handles, distributes all required documents in the receiving area; Ensures customer requirements are met and takes corrective actions in case of deviations from customer requirements; Ensures documents are completed and updated in a timely and efficient manner and according to regulations and internal procedures; Acts as subject matter expert for Air/Ocean Operations questions Effective communications and interaction with Customer Service and other departments as required Organizes, splits and plans day-to-day work of Import Agents; Ensures handling of required Import documents according to regulations and internal procedures; Follows-up on shipment status in the Import area, identifies incidents and ensures resolution of incidents; Supports Customer Service in the incident and exception management resolution; Creates, builds and maintains excellent relationships with key suppliers; Creates, builds and maintains relationships with other internal departments  and acts as subject matter expert for ad hoc operational questions with regards to accounts that are being serviced; Interacts with Customer Service and other departments as needed.

Import Supervisor, Ocean
– Requisition # 14-0306. The Import Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the work of Import Agents and Entry Writers. The Supervisor ensures that shipments are custom cleared and transported to destinations according to customers’ requirements.  Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience

Import Agent, Team Lead Ocean

Applicant should have in-depth knowledge of customs and harmonized tariff codes and can be relied upon as having expertise in customs clearance and import compliance. Sr. Entry Writers will be required to handle complex, non-routine CHB/CBP transactions and will be assigned to handle key accounts and will support managers in import audit functions.  Minimum 3 years’ experience.

Sr. Export Agent
– Requisition # 14-0333 The Senior Export Agent facilitates the shipment of cargo via air and/or ocean transport. The Senior Export Agent is responsible for executing all functions related to the successful operation of this position and to provide top notch customer service with continual improvement in mind. The Senior Export Agent will have demonstrated knowledge over a period of at least 3 years and can be relied upon as having expertise in export operations and compliance. Sr. Export Agents mainly handle complex shipments (i.e. licensed, live/perishable shipments).

– Requisition # 14-0378 The Export Agent facilitates the shipment of cargo via air and/or ocean transport. The Export Agent is responsible for receiving shipping instructions and following customer specific guidelines in the preparation and transmission of export transactions.
